Today Eidos Interactive announced that Lara Croft will soon be making its way to the mobile platform, and available for “your pocket” later this summer. The first title, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Legend, an adaptation of the 2006 console version, will be released on major carriers and MVNO’s in North America.
“Eidos is planning to take their core brands to mobile over the coming months and the new releases promise to bring exciting gameplay onto user’s handsets,” said Dave Clark, Vice President, New Business Development at Eidos.
The game’s publisher promises to deliver the familiar fast-paced gameplay that has Ms. Croft running, jumping, rolling, shooting and of course more running all in a mini-3D environment. Of course Eidos had previously said that other Tomb Raider games would be good too, and well… enough said.
