for its various services, Verizon today announced the launch of its EV-DO Revision A network. To start, the Rev. A network will work in-and-around Boston, Richmond, Chicago, Salt Lake City, and throughout Florida. The upgrade will allow subscribers of Verizon’s wireless data plans to download at speeds of 400 – 800kbps. Quite nice.
To usher in the launch, Verizon also announced the USB720 wireless modem. It is said to be able to connect to, “ll the latest notebooks, desktops and handhelds via an industry standard USB interface.” It will be available tomorrow, but a price is not yet available.
